Aloha Fashionistas! Recently, Nada Manley of the Daytona Beach News Journal covered some new trends in The Style File article “Leggings a Top Look for Spring“. She is exactly on point for what is up and coming in regards to Leggings and Denim!
I just got back from NYC market week. I scouted the city to find the hot must haves for the season. First and for most, throw away those skinny jeans that you can’t eat all day so you can get into them at night. You know the ones you have to lie on your bed to get them zipped up. Say goodbye to them and say “aloha” to JEGGINS (jean leggings). These babies are so comfortable and hot you might not ever put on a real pair of jeans again. They come in different washes with all the bells and whistles of jeans (not literally bells and whistles) just pockets and maybe some side zips.
Pair them with great boots or super sexy heels and there will be no worries of the fashion police issuing you a citation. Wear a flowy top with bat wing or butterfly sleeves or maybe step back to 1984 with an off the shoulder top. Work it girl! Don’t be afraid of the 80′s fashion look, it is a must do… But no big hair please…unless you’re planning to make it a nest for homeless birds.
Anywho, it’s getting late, a girl needs her beauty sleep. Remember fashion is an expression of your true self! So own it!
