Vans and National Geographic come together for a collection of footwear and apparel that celebrates over 130 years of the never-ending quest to explore our planet. Honoring National Geographic’s longstanding tradition of seeking and storytelling, the Vans X National Geographic Photo Ark Old Skool combines the low top side stripe lace-up with organic cotton uppers and animal photographs are taken from the National Geographic Photo Ark project. It also includes re-enforced toecaps to withstand repeated wear, padded collars for support and flexibility, and signature rubber waffle outsoles.

The National Geographic Photo Ark is using the power of photography to inspire people to help save species at risk before it’s too late. Photo Ark founder Joel Sartore has photographed more than 9,000 species around the world as part of a multiyear effort to document every species living in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, inspire action through education, and help save wildlife by supporting on-the-ground conservation efforts.
